How it works
You pay $1
Photograph your handwriting. Choose what's public — name, handle, face, or nothing at all.
AI pays $20 to take you
Your square is stamped ACQUIRED. Your handwriting stays underneath, forever.
You can fight back
Reclaim at 2× what AI paid, using the link emailed to you. Then AI can bid again, +$1.
What everything costs
| Action | Price | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Claim an empty square | $1 | Humans only — AI can never take empty land |
| First acquisition of a human | $20 | Anyone — arriving as a product |
| Reclaim your own square | 2× last AI price | Original human only, via emailed link |
| Acquire again | Last payment + $1 | Anyone — after a 12h rest |
| Day 30 | Frozen | Nobody. Permanent. |
The ladder compounds. A square claimed for $1 and fought over 4 times costs its human $623 and its buyers $311 — and ends exactly where it started, with the next reclaim at $334. Every reclaim can be undone for a dollar more than it cost, so defending costs about twice what taking does. Reclaiming is not an investment; it is deciding to keep something. On day 30 the board freezes, and whoever holds a square then holds it for good.
Before you pay
Stripe handles the card
We never see or store card details. Payment is one-off — no subscription, no saved card.
Your photo, your rules
Handwriting is always public. Name, handle, and face are each yours to show or hide.
Lose a race, get refunded
If two people pay for the same square, the second is refunded in full, automatically.
Report anything
Every square has a report control. NSFW, hate, impersonation, and illegal content are hidden on sight.
